Magnolia

All plants are grafted and growing in 200mm (8") pots. For delivery, we bare root the plants, wrap roots in wet paper and package carefully. Parcels are sent to major centres (eg. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) and whereever possible, via a door to door courier service. To other destinations we post with Australia Post. This has proven to be a successful method of distribution.

Varieties become ready for sale at different times through the year so check back later if you don't see what you are looking for today.

Matt will email to confirm your order and arrange delivery BEFORE we ship anything out. This is not automated so will not occur instantaneously, so please look out for this email confirmation or it will delay your order. Alternatively, you can arrange to pick up your order but we are only open by appointment.

We DO NOT ship internationally, WA or Tas. Please do not order if you live in UK, USA, Europe etc.

Magnolia

Magnolia Campbellii 'Trengwainton' $62.50

Magnolia campbellii is a medium-sized to large deciduous tree growing to 30 m, perhaps higher, with smooth grey bark. The leaves are large and broad, fuzzy underneath and with an acute apex. The flowers are very large, 15-25 cm (even to 35 cm) diameter, with 12-16 tepal appearing very early, before the leaves, opening from late winter to early spring. After opening, the innermost tepals remain erect while the others spread widely.
New to our nursery and we ony know the flowers are a lovely pink.
